RECENT PROJECTS
- Creation and administration of an innovative tropical marine fish aquaculture project, for the annual production of 5000 tons of cobia, in Ceara state of Brazil. Team of aquaculture specialists under the leadership of Dr. K. Kostopoulos, worked for 3 years in Brazil for the creation of a prototype innovative project of aquaculture. Selected the farming site, designed the project and its operation and concluded a technical presentation and a business plan titled: “COBIA MARICULTURE IN CEARA STATE – BRAZIL. Outcome was a vertically integrated tropical marine fish farming system for the annual production of 5000 tons” project ready for establishment. Project gained support from the Brazilian State and Development Banks.
- Exclusive representation of the fish-feed producer COPPENS INTERNATIONAL B.V. (http://www.coppens.com/en) for its marine fish sales in the area of Greece, since April 2016. Sales of COPPENS products by AQUA MED Ltd, initiated in May 2016 to targeted customer in Greece, and continue for creation of records to be used for attracting more customers and increase sales.
- Accomplishment of a prototype business plan for the Acquisition the three largest Greek aquaculture companies SELONDA S.A., DIAS S.A. and NIREUS S.A. and reform of their business models. Following the economic crisis of 2008, the assets of the large fish-farming companies of Greece were distressed, as companies could not serve their loans to the creditor banks. As some of these companies were still able to produce with strong comparative advantages, AQUAMED participated into a team of aquaculture managers who worked and proposed: “An operating solution for the reform of the business model for the three largest Greek aquaculture companies with distressed assets: NIREUS S.A., SELONDA S.A. and DIAS S.A.”.

Research contractor and participation in the Research and Development (R&D) section of the Danish fish feed producer Aller Aqua a/s (Christiansfelt, Denmark). The company is the third largest fish-feed producer in Europe (2008). Aller Aqua a/s, owns several Fish-feed factories in Europe and is active in 27 countries, producing sophisticated extruded pellet fish feeds for more than 12 fish species.
- AquaMed focused in the continuous improvement of the diets, testing the feeds for marine fish species by organizing and performing feed trials in commercial farms over long periods, supporting and documenting suggestions for the use of the fish feeds, and finally training the farm managers on modern feeding strategies.
- Exclusive representation of the Fish Feed producer Aller Aqua a/s (Denmark) in Greece (1996-2009) - Product quality reassure, management consulting and participation in the board of directors in company: “NEPTUNUS marine cultures” S.A. The company operated 3 sea cage farms in the Eastern Peloponnese producing marine fish (Sea bass, Sea Bream, Shi, and Stripped bream) with an annual production capacity of 1500 tons. Company operated its own sales (exports) department, and packaging plant (1998-2006).
- Elaboration and management of a strategy for the reforming and modernization of marine fish farms in S. Korea, for the Fish feed producer Aller Aqua a/s (DK) in cooperation with the AQUANET Co Ltd, Tong young (S. Korea). Operation supported by the Danish Government (2006-2008).

Contractor as a marketing organizer for “DIAS group of Companies”, (3rd largest aquaculture group in Greece, producer of farmed marine fish. DIAS group annual production was 20000 tons and its sales exceeded 30000 tons of farmed fish and fish products. DIAS group operated the largest and most modern fish processing plant in Greece). Aqua med acted on the following services:
-Evaluation of the end products.
-Development of new products.
-Creation of sophisticated product catalogs.
-Creation of material for sales support.
-Generation of Infrastructure for set-up and management of an:
International export sales network for sea food.

(2009-2011.) - Sales representative and broker of fish feed for the area of Greece for the fish- feed manufacturing industrial company ‘’ZOONOMI S.A.’’ (2010-2011).
